A gift from the Lord through a loving and obedient Christian couple!

We have been given a Westfalia
camper by Jerry and Shelley Hamrick,
a Christian couple from Washington state.

The van will be used in our Christian mission work here in Mexico for extended stays in the remote villages.

The van is being delivered to us here in Mexico by the owners.
The goodness of our God is amazing!

God is so amazing! We are overwhelmed with joy by the love of God.

Tonight the Holy Spirit brought to mind how I'd prayed not long ago for God to reassure me that He saw my efforts here in Mexico. Like a child looking for encouragement from his father, I just needed a little hug from the Lord.

I don't place great value on material things any longer, I did for years, however, I do value tools that assist me in serving God.

For years now I've admired the functionality of Westfalias. I owned a 1966 VW bus back in my younger days and still have a special appreciation for their versatility. Recalling how useful my 66 Westfalia was to me, recently I began to dwell on the need for a camper style vehicle to use for extended stays at Indian villages in the mountains.

Amazingly, one day I was prompted by God's Holy Spirit to pray in thanksgiving "Thank you Lord for the Westfalia You are sending me". Those are the exact words I was given, and I prayed what I was told to pray. Once I opened my mouth and spoke those words I was assured that it was from the Lord.

Not being one to sit back and not do my part, I placed an ad online in a Westfalia owners forum looking to buy a cheap Westfalia to use in my ministry here in Mexico. I'd hoped to find an older Westfalia bus priced at around $3000.00 and fix it up myself. The appearance of the van didn't matter, just as long as it was dependable.

An interesting thing about the Westfalia we've been given is that the couple had it sold last September, but the sale fell through. Afterward, they parked it in their garage and didn't use it or advertise it again. They recently were praying about what to do with the van and went online to look at comparable vans. They came across my ad, which by then had been relegated to the very last page on the Westfalia site, way down near the bottom. They went to my MexicanMissions.com web site and looked over the work we do here. They prayed about it and were led to contact me.

I received their email in which they said they owned a Westfalia, and that there were pictures posted online of the van. They asked if I would please look at the pictures and let them know if the van would work for me in my ministry. They did not mention a price, only that it was a 1989 Westfalia. I felt disappointed, knowing that an 89 Westfalia was way out of my price range.

I looked at the pictures and saw a very nice Westfalia camper in excellent condition.

They continued praying about it and emailed me again saying they wanted to give me the van. The owner, Jerry, also is bringing the van to me here in Mexico, a 3000 mile drive from their home in Washington state. He's bringing the van loaded with clothing and gospel materials for the people we work with.

Thank you, Lord, for the Westfalia that you are sending to me!

Thank you, Jerry and Shelley, for such a wonderful blessing!

Jeff, (JRobeWesty from the forum at TheSamba.com) thank you for the Westfalia spare parts!

Robert, (RCB from the forum at TheSamba.com) thank you for your donation to help us with our work here in Mexico!

Blessings to you all. Barry
